Grading Method

The Final Grade has two components:
- Final Written Exam (2 dates), and
- Problem Lists assigned during the semester.

The grade $E$ of the Written Exam is between 0 and 20.
For approval in the course, $E$ has to be at least 8, and the Final Grade at least 10.

The Problem Lists assigned during the semester produces a grade $P$, from 0 to 2.

The Final Grade is equal to E plus a linear function of $E$ and $P$,
which is minimal (0) when $E$ is 20, and maximal (2) when it is 10. That is:

$$ \hspace{-3cm} \mathrm{Final} \, \, \mathrm{Grade} = E + P * (2- \frac{E}{10}) $$

Grades $E$ and $P$ are rounded to the decimals (and the final grade is an integer - naturally!).
